Mercedes Benz EQS: 1 st Reservations for Flagship Sedan Now Open
Before its commercial launch, Mercedes-Benz has chosen Belgium and the Netherlands & Luxembourg for its debut for its flagship all-electric EQS sedan.
The Mercedes-Benz EQS is now finally entering the final stage as we approach its launch. Mercedes Benz’s top-tier sedan is based on the Mercedes Benz EQS Vision concept, which was first shown back in 2019.
The German automaker confirmed that reservations are now open, but only in select markets in Europe. Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Belgium have been chosen as the launch markets for the Mercedes Benz EQS. Prospective buyers of the EQS can make a reservation by depositing 1500 euros.
The brand did not reveal whether there was a cap to the reservations that can be made. It is also unclear if this applies to the imminent launch of just the First Edition model, which is standard practice in the auto industry.
However, the brand did confirm that orders will open this summer, and deliveries are scheduled for the fall of 2021.
According to Mercedes Benz, the EQS will come with a 100 kWh battery pack capable of an estimated range of 700 km (435 miles) on a single charge. It would take just 15 minutes to recover 250 km (155 miles) of range.
The Mercedes Benz EQS will be its flagship electric sedan, and being a luxury vehicle, prices are expected to be north of 100000 euros.
